Dunard Street Park, Maryhill

Dunard Street Park, Maryhill

Here is Sam on the climbing wall. Sam was first to do this today then all the other children followed his example and tried to do it too!
This park is usually half an hour walk away but today it took us 5 minutes to get there because we went on our mni bus (woo hoo).
The park men were there cutting the grass while we were there and when they left they actually locked us in the park. Sad but true. Luckily there was another exit so we managed to get out ok in time for lunch.

Mugdock Country Park

Mugdock Country Park

Last Friday we ventured a bit further and went for a picnic lunch at Mugdock.
This park got the thumbs up from us all and we especially enjoyed the zip slide (even the ladies tried it). The adventure trail was very challenging for us but we managed most of it!!

Kiel Community Park

Kiel Community Park

Here we are evaluating this new park. It was lots of fun even in the rain.
We really liked this big tyre swing and spent ages on it, but there was also a climbing frame that had pirate pictures on it so some of us were pretending to be pirates!!
Leo wants to go back 6 more times.

At the Riverside

At the Riverside

This was what we did yesterday. We went to see what was happening to the River Kelvin after all the heavy rain.
We discovered that the river was “faster” and “bigger” and “browner” than usual.
We also played a game of hide and seek in amongst the trees that was great fun except for when Melanie nearly slid down a muddy hill!!!

Our End Of Term Party

Our End Of Term Party

Today we had our end of term party. Mr Boom was there as usual, and he told all the same jokes as last year – we still laughed!!
Wee Jock and Adam came down and LOVED it all but Jessica did not care much for Mr Boom and was more interested in all the left over food.
We are very sorry to say goodbye to some friends today as this was their last day at nursery. Boo Hoo we will miss you!!

Our Caterpillars Arrived Today

Today our caterpillars arrived and we have put them into the music room so that we can watch them grow big and fat.  Some of us know what is going to happen after that  – some of us have been talking about cocoons and butterflies!  The babies have their own set of caterpillars too so that they can join in the fun.

Watch this space.

At the Happy Park Again

This morning we all went to the Happy Park.  We were going to go to the Trampoline Park but ran out of time because that is 10 minutes further away. Anyway, we all had lots of energy and enjoyed running about and playing games with our friends.  Lucy, Helena, Connor and Sam all climbed to the very top of the spider web this morning…………….BIG CHEER FOR THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!  This afternoon we are going to make decorations for the MR BOOM party on Friday.
