Yesterday We Went to Lomond Shores
This is what we did yesterday. We drove down to Balloch and visited Lomond Shores. We had our picnic in the meadow beside the lily pond. Later we walked around to the Dragon’s Den playpark where we explored for about … Continue reading

Indianna Jones and the Difficult but Conquerable Mountain
Here is Arthur being Indianna Jones today, complete with hat.
Louise helped him make the hat using paper and a ribbon and Arthur hasn’t taken it off all day!! Arthur has also been helped to use YOUTUBE to find the theme tune; so if your little one comes home humming this tune you now know where it came from!!

I’m Batman
Today we planned and designed our own face masks. It was Jack’s idea (photo) – he has been pretending to be Batman all week and he came up with the mask making idea. Cutting out the eye holes was really tricky but we tried our best!!

Mugdock Again
This is the most popular thing at Mugdock. The zip slide – we all love it.
Here is Lucia giving a demonstration on how to do it and check out Mora’s face because she’s last in the queue!!!!

One More Step Along The Road We Go
We all want to send our 9 little school beginners our very best wishes as they start school today.
The nursery is really quiet now that you have all left.
Remember your old nursery motto “HAVE FUN – BE SAFE”

Green Beans With Legs
We are now officially a pet sitting service as well as daycare. Here is Dylan helping with one of our little visiting stick insects that an ex-pupil, Maria, has left in our care. The learning opportunities have been bountiful with the children finding out where to find bramble leaves to feed them and also some interesting facts about how they can grow more legs if they accidentaly lose one to a bird!! We have even made a beautiful display area where we made our own model stick insects and hung them from the ceiling.
We will take anything smaller than an elephant!!

The North Kelvin Meadow
This is what we did this morning. We were invited along to take part in woodland adventure in the Meadow. The Meadow is a local wild place that is earmarked for development and we are supporting a local group who are trying to block the planning permission.
The children were taught how to make dens (picture) and enjoyed looking for mini beasts. ~They also loved gathering their own ingredients to make magic potions to help save the forest animals.
Thank you to Emily and Susan for organizing the event,

Doctors and Nurses
Today we got out all the medical equipment so that we could play at doctors and nurses. Here is Lucy being a nurse on duty in the chemist shop. The interest started yesterday when someone got bumped in the Happy Park and Louise was pretending to be a nurse. When we got back to nursery Emily was playing at “Vets” with a sick puppy, now we have made a hospital in the home corner so that we can be really sick.

Happy Birthday Helena
Helena turned 4 today and we all sang the Happy Birthday song at lunchtime.
When it is someone’s birthday we have the cake after our meal.
If you eat all your lunch you get a BIG slice of cake but if you only nibble your lunch you get a smaller slice. Guess what that means?
WE ALL EAT EVERY BIT OF OUR LUNCH ON CAKE DAYS!!!!!
