Doctors and Nurses

Doctors and Nurses

Today we got out all the medical equipment so that we could play at doctors and nurses. Here is Lucy being a nurse on duty in the chemist shop. The interest started yesterday when someone got bumped in the Happy Park and Louise was pretending to be a nurse. When we got back to nursery Emily was playing at “Vets” with a sick puppy, now we have made a hospital in the home corner so that we can be really sick.

Happy Birthday Helena

Happy Birthday Helena

Helena turned 4 today and we all sang the Happy Birthday song at lunchtime.
When it is someone’s birthday we have the cake after our meal.
If you eat all your lunch you get a BIG slice of cake but if you only nibble your lunch you get a smaller slice. Guess what that means?
WE ALL EAT EVERY BIT OF OUR LUNCH ON CAKE DAYS!!!!!

Gone Fishin’

Gone Fishin'

This was our trip last Tuesday. We went to Balmaha for a picnic lunch and when we were in the Visitor Centre the lady gave us 3 fishing nets and collection trays, including reference sheets to use for matching and identification of species!! Very educational. We then went further up to Milarochy Bay and “fished” in the stream (photo). ~Sam was first to fall in ( we think accidentally on purpose), and then it was a free for all. The two pensioners sitting having a peaceful picnic were kept amused for ages!! Ahhh! childhood.

Balloch Country Park and Castle

Balloch Country Park and Castle

Here we are exploring Balloch Country Park at Loch Lomond on Tuesday 17th June. We found a good picnic bench for lunch and then we strolled down a HUGE hill to find 2 parks and a wee beach.
Finlay really liked playing with the diggers in number 2 park that scooped up all the sand, and Mora and Lucy spent ages running in and out of the water in their wellie boots.
Walking back up the HUGE hill was a physical challenge for the ladies!

Dunard Street Park, Maryhill

Dunard Street Park, Maryhill

Here is Sam on the climbing wall. Sam was first to do this today then all the other children followed his example and tried to do it too!
This park is usually half an hour walk away but today it took us 5 minutes to get there because we went on our mni bus (woo hoo).
The park men were there cutting the grass while we were there and when they left they actually locked us in the park. Sad but true. Luckily there was another exit so we managed to get out ok in time for lunch.
