Clarence House Nursery

We have found lots of ways to have fun and keep cool today. Our favourite was definitely having ice cream 🍦😋😍

When the weather gets very hot we like to cool down in our pool or use the shady areas of the garden to play. We are learning about being safe in the sun by wearing hats, suncream and making sure we drink plenty of water.

It was such a beautiful morning we decided to run our daily mile before snack. Doing our daily mile helps us to keep fit and healthy, we are learning about the importance of looking after our bodies.

Our babies love to use the posting tins, normally we use little blocks to fit in the hole but today we found out that we can also take off our socks and post them in there too, it just takes a little bit more squishing!

Getting ready for our mud kitchen means relocating our digging area, this was a tough job but we managed to use the big tools like the shovel and wheelbarrow to help us out.

Today we did lots of designing with beads, gems and playdough, using tiny beads helps keep our fingers busy and is good practice for strengthening our muscles for when we are ready to do some writing.

We love working in the shop and there are so many learning opportunities to be had. Here we can see some of the shop items being stacked which helps us develop our spacial awareness and also estimation of how many things we are able to balance before it topples over.

Our Star group have been learning about money, finding out the value of coins and using it in games and our shop. It makes us feel important sitting behind the till!
