Lunch Time

We encourage our children to comment on their meal every day. Their likes and dislikes are catered for and they are never forced to eat something they don’t like. An alternative meal is always provided for picky eaters. In general the majority of the children eat well and during their day in nursery are offered 5-6 portions of fruit and veg per day.

The Green Bean Eaters

We serve our under 2’s their green beans as an appetiser before their meal. These little ones scoffed them up very fast! We always offer 2 vegetables with lunches.

Early Writing

One example of emergent writing. The 4 year old was “pretend writing” and was very proud of the praise she received for this

“This is for you Shirley, you can take it home “

A visit from the police

One of our families kindly volunteered their time this morning to help us learn about some of the work that the police do. We then had a big talk about being safe to add to our shannari wall

“My daddy is a police officer and he catches bad guys”

“mummy keeps me safe in the house”

“My mum and dad hold my hand to keep me safe”

“The ladies keep me safe”
