One example of emergent writing. The 4 year old was “pretend writing” and was very proud of the praise she received for this
“This is for you Shirley, you can take it home “

One of our families kindly volunteered their time this morning to help us learn about some of the work that the police do. We then had a big talk about being safe to add to our shannari wall
“My daddy is a police officer and he catches bad guys”
“mummy keeps me safe in the house”
“My mum and dad hold my hand to keep me safe”
“The ladies keep me safe”

This morning we chopped up some carrots and celery to make a vegetarian cottage pie
Every trip outdoors gives our children another opportunity to learn about their personal safety and the safety of others.

This was obviously influenced by the amount of seagulls we saw!
