We can do it 😀

We love to see our children succeed in all that they do. Promoting independence is very important to us, and it’s easy to make children feel celebrated daily by taking part in small self-help tasks

Mugdock kind of day

Taking turns, finding worms, helping each other on swings, collecting winter twigs and leaves, mastering the tunnel chute, jumping in puddles, getting more confident climbing different apparatus and generally having a great time !

Bird Feeders

As part of our birdwatch week, we made some lovely bird feeders with string and cheerios. This was a bit of a tricky activity as we had to use our pincer grip and small motor skills to thread the hoops on to the string. We look forward to seeing the birds visiting our garden

Outdoor Training

Some of our staff attended a bushcraft training session with the children’s wood. We can now make fires safely and rig up tarps 🙂

Busy Days

Each day we have the opportunity to learn, create and explore. A little snippet of today brings….. A walk to the river, the babies and rainbows collected sticks and our star group did a colour survey and counted out the colours of each car they saw along the way. In the afternoon some of us had a little rest and we know there is always a place for us when we are tired. In the afternoon we made cloud dough and explored the new textures “this is a marshmallow cake from coconuts in the coconut tree”. We made traffic light biscuits and enjoyed mixing up the colours in the icing, we also decided to paint traffic lights on our windows too! We played with the knex using the instructions to help us build more complex creations, a little painting and of course lots of stories throughout the day 🙂
