Lots of birthday wishes to our wee superstar ✨️

A chilly morning in the children’s wood hanging on the spiderweb, we are very interested in superheroes at the moment and one of our new favourite stories to read is “ten little superheroes”

It’s very important to us that our children have ownership of their environment and know that their contributions are welcomed and celebrated
Child comment “we painted a lot”
Child comment “I’m going to paint a skeleton. These are the lungs because you can see through them”.
So this afternoon we had a nursery of boys only. Very rare. We went on a trip to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. Most of the children had been before with their families and were confident in exploring and asking questions.

We like to find things to fill up at the meadows, this kettle is perfect for lots of little things that can fit in my hands

We had a lovely afternoon at Pollock Park, we found ways to write and mark make in the sand, pretended to be pirates and bury treasure, we ran races up and down the flying fox track and tried new things like sliding down the pole. We worked as part of a team in pulling the sand up in the bucket and asked each other for help when we needed.
“This is a great park” “I am having so much fun” “my pirate name is “webbeard”” “can you pull my hand, I can’t reach” “Look, that’s my name” “spin me faster so I can reach the moon”

Our wee ones are offered a variety of resources and technology to explore their creativity. The children return to their work over months to produce unique art.
