Clarence House Nursery

This was our trip last week. This was the trip to Balmaha that Alex and Euan voted for but Heads of Ayr won. So we went here next.
What a day we had. Alex was first to spot the sheep with blue bottoms when we were travelling on the bus. when we arrived at our first destination of Balmaha we went out to explore and loved the small park and maze. Brody found sign posts with clues to follow to find an animal tail. Then we found the large frog inside a hole!!
After about an hour here we headed up the hill in the bus again to Malarochy Bay where we had our picnic by the stream.
We are learning about risk assessment and being as safe as we can so we did not go near the lochside but stayed at the stream.
Or in the stream as the photo shows. Sandy was the hero of the day when he caught a fish!
Brilliant day with no accidents only 11 very wet children!!

We like it here but the only trouble is there is never enough time to do everything.
Favourite things were the Fort/Castle which had tunnels inside. We also loved the slide with the doughnut rings – scary – but in a fun kind of way. We really loved the Pirate Ship and spent ages jumping off the “plank”.
The Jumping Pillow was also good.
The animals were also good. The lemurs were funny especially when one sat on the tortoise’s back for a wee ride!!!!
We voted to come here for our trip and it was a good decision.

Here we are having our first lesson.
Louise went on a course to learn how to be a cycle instructor and now she is teaching us all kinds of important things about being a responsible cyclist. ~We are enjoying the games sooooo much!!!!!

A special gift for Fathers Day

We spent an hour here during a wet afternoon this week. We are learning about being safe and this was a perfect excuse to put what we are learning about to good use!!

This is the first day of bringing our bikes and scooters to nursery. It was fun and really exciting for us. We cycled around and around the climbing frame. Marcello can go his without stablizers !! Well done Marcello.

Here we are taking part in an activity organized by the Education Team from the Children’s Wood.
We had the chance to help plant strawberry plants, tomato plants, lettuce and cabbage.

The runner beans that we planted are making reception look like a jungle!
So it’s time for them to go home and be planted in a garden or a bigger pot. We are looking forward to the day when the beans are ready for eating.
